Who is this training for?

School governors who have opted to be part of a panel to consider reinstatement of an excluded pupil should the scenario arise.

This session has been designed for governors with little or no knowledge of statutory exclusions guidance and will aim to give them the knowledge and confidence to make a robust decision in accordance with the guidance.

This session is exclusively for governors within the same school, trust or multi-academy trust.

The content in this session is the same as the intensive session available to book on this website.

This session is exclusively for reservation by governors or trustees based within the same school, trust or multi-academy trust only.‍ ‍

  • This session will be facilitated by Lee Kennedy.

  • A Microsoft Teams link for the session will be shared with participants via email once the booking has been made.

  • It is advisable to join via the Teams link a few minutes before the session starts to ensure you have connected successfully.

  • This training links to the statutory exclusions guidance published by the Department for Education, therefore will be for schools in England only.

  • There is no limit to how many governors may join, but must be from the same school or trust. If a member of the board, such as the clerk, books the session on behalf of the board, names of all governors must be provided.

  • PLEASE NOTE. This session is not available for governors of Kent schools.
